Hash Halper, aka New York Romantic, is a New York artist best known for his graffiti work of over 100,000 chalk hearts around downtown NYC. The impermanence of his chalk graffiti hearts, that he has been tagging since 2014, mirrors that concept in life. Hash has also curated and produced over 30 independent group art shows this last decade, featuring over 200 artists.

His work has been featured in The New York Times, the Huffington Post, the BBC’s The History of Grafitti, as well as ABClocal/Swiss/Japanese/Brazilian/and Russian News broadcasts. He and his work has also been seen in The Lonely Planet (2018), Italian Vanity Fair, Love Magazine, the Daily Mail, and both German and Japanese Vogue.
